As part of our commitment to providing our clients with excellent service in a timely manner, Mango Tree Media has hired Levi Carter. Levi interned with us in summer of 2010 and has since graduated with a degree in Computer Science - New Media/Systems. Levi brings a great deal of skill and talent to the team in the areas of testing, programming, research, and more. 

Mango Tree Media founder James Friesen will be one of the scheduled speakers at Joomla Day Midwest 2011 in Milwaukee, WI. James has been asked to present a workship on Joomla Template Frameworks at the Joomla Day event in November. This will be mark the first time James has been asked to speak at one of these events which bring Joomla aficionados from all around the midwest and speakers from all over the US and Europe. Check out the event schedule to see the bios of the other speakers, many of which James considers friends from interacting at previous conferences.

On the weekend of January 14-16 James and Brian headed down to the IUPUI campus in downtown Indianapolis to participate in RefreshIndy to participate in the crazy but meaningful Refresh Weekend. Participating web developers were divided into 4 groups and assigned their non-profit to work with.

We were fortunate to be paired with Anna's Celebration of Life, an Indianapolis non-profit dedicated to helping local kids with disabilities,in memory of the founder's daughter Anna.

They turned out to be a great client to work with, and we had a fun and cohesive team of 6 developers and videographers. In 48 hours we started a website from scratch and ended up with their brand new site.

Who needs sleep anyway? Mango Tree Media is proud to announce their involvement in a very worth cause in Indianapolis.

On the weekend of January 14-16 James Friesen and Brian Hansen will be joining the crew from RefreshIndy for a weekend code-a-thon. The goal? Produce a 3 full website for 3 Indianapolis-area non-profits in two days.  James will be the technical lead in his group as that site will be Joomla-based. Brian will put his video skills to good use. Should be a lot of fun and its for a worthy cause!
